Your information
Privacy
This notice explains what personal information Watts Your Ink collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 7 October 2026.
Who we are
Watts Your Ink is the data controller for the information described here. The studio is at Bakers Arcade, Unit 6, 52 High Street, Pershore, WR10 1DP.
For anything about your information — a copy, a correction, or deletion — email wattsyourink@outlook.com or call 07983 522985.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and whatever you tell us about the tattoo you want — style, placement, size, availability, and any reference images you attach.
When you book and visit: the above, plus an address and emergency contact if you give them, a record that photo ID was checked, and relevant health information — allergies, skin conditions, medical conditions and medications.
We ask for health information because tattooing breaks the skin. Some conditions and medications change whether, or how, we can tattoo you safely. We only ask for what bears on that.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Replying to your enquiry and arranging an appointment — necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to carry out that contract.
Checking you are over 18 — a legal obligation. It is an offence to tattoo someone under 18 in the UK.
Health information — your explicit consent, given on the consent form at the studio. You can withdraw it, though we may then be unable to tattoo you safely.
Keeping records of work carried out — our legitimate interests in running the studio, answering any later question about your tattoo, and meeting our insurers' requirements.
Marketing, if you ask for it — your consent, given separately. You will never be added to anything just by enquiring, and you can opt out at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for 7 years after your last appointment, then delete or anonymise them. Records are kept this long so we can answer questions about work we have done, and to meet our insurers' requirements.
Enquiries that never become appointments are deleted once they are clearly no longer active.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It is handled on our behalf by the services that run this website and our studio records.
Vercel — hosts this website and processes form submissions.
Google Firebase — stores studio records. Data is held in the UK (europe-west2).
Resend — sends email from the studio. Processed in the EU (eu-west-1).
We may also share information where the law requires it, or with medical services in an emergency.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, to correct anything wrong, to delete it, or to restrict or object to how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email wattsyourink@outlook.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Some records may survive a deletion request where we are required to keep them — a record that a tattoo was carried out, for instance. Where that happens we remove everything that identifies you and keep only the bare entry.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will tell you directly.
